PGraph is coming this week to light up our stage and bring some of that great Austin improv to our fair city. They’ll be doing two shows: Friday 10pm and Saturday 9pm (FB event).

They also are running a weekend narrative improv intensive. If you’d like to sign up, we still have a stand-by list available. It’s possible (likely?) that someone drops at the last second. It runs 10a - 5p Saturday and Sunday (with an hour break for lunch). Email pgraph@montrealimprov.com if you want to know more.

They came to visit here in 2009 for Mprov and we loved them and they loved us. So now just before we get to give each other improv cuddles, you can take a look at the opening from the French Farce format they did three years ago.

Pixar Short of the Day: In La Luna — which made its debut in theaters over the summer before Brave — a young boy gets to go work with his Papa and Grandpa for the first time.

They row far out to sea in an old wooden boat, and with no land in sight, they stop and wait…

I normally hate list sketches, but I’ve watched this sketch about five times now and I’m still laughing.

Key & Peele are the best at list sketches.

Probably my favourite sketch show since Human Giant.

Hip Hop Tina Fey of the Day: Donald Glover, AKA Childish Gambino, has put together a free mixtape, dubbedRoyalty, that released on Wednesday. One of the coolest parts is the song Real Estate, featuring Alley Boy, Swank, and Tina Fey. Yes, you read that correctly.

Considering they both worked on 30 Rock, it’s not too much of a stretch for Glover to recruit Fey, but her effort is still nothing short of admirable. Tina drops the rhymes around the 4:55 mark. Language is Not Safe For Work.

Was listening to this yesterday at work. Posting it now because I know there’s a bunch of Tina fans out there (as you should be).

I keep downloading CG’s stuff wishing he would say something interesting but I give it one or two listens and realise that while he’s got some skill, I’m just not buying into the words. Hitting pause on that.
