Above: Me and Valerie Ward (of Pgraph fame) at the Thu afterparty.
I’m in Austin, TX with Marc for the next few days for the Out of Bounds Comedy Fest. We’re doing our show, Epic Adventure, tonight at 10pm. It’s a 2-man fantasy epic with heroes and quests and adventure (you know, all the good stuff from stories).
I saw Val do a great improvised presentation last night in front of slides she’d never seen before  (basically Powerpoint Karaoke) but performed in the style of a Ted Talk (the show was called Zed Talk) which works really well as a framework. I’m pretty sure I’m gonna steal this format when I have a bit of time.
Last night was a bit of a blur since we traveled for 12 hours and then I went out and festivaled for 8 more. It’s a pretty big fest but it still manages to feel human-sized. So good show, good people, good food. I really, really like it here in Austin. Bring on three more days of this!
